How to move Loop Habit Tracker to iPhone, step by step
Loop Habit Tracker has no iOS version, but its export format is open - and Ouro reads it directly. The whole move takes a few minutes and brings every habit and every check-in to your iPhone. Here is exactly how.
What you need
- Your Android phone with Loop Habit Tracker on it
- Your iPhone with Ouro installed
- A way to move one file between them: AirDrop-style sharing apps, email, or any cloud drive
Step 1: Export your data from Loop
- Open Loop Habit Tracker on your Android phone
- Open the menu and go to Settings
- Choose Export as CSV
- Loop produces a single ZIP file - share or save it
Important: pick Export as CSV, not "Export full backup". The full backup is a database file meant for restoring Loop itself; the CSV export is the open format other apps can read.
Step 2: Get the ZIP onto your iPhone
Any route works: email it to yourself, upload it to Google Drive or iCloud and download it on the iPhone, or use a cross-platform sharing app. Save it somewhere you can find it in the Files app. Do not unzip it - Ouro takes the ZIP as-is.
Step 3: Import it in Ouro
- Open Ouro on your iPhone
- Go to the Settings tab
- Tap Import from Loop Habit Tracker
- Pick the ZIP file you transferred
Ouro reads your habits and your full check-in history, shows you a preview, and imports everything. Streaks, scores, monthly grids and year heatmaps are rebuilt from your real data - if you had a 200-day streak in Loop, you have a 200-day streak in Ouro.
Troubleshooting
The import does not accept my file
Make sure it is the ZIP from Export as CSV, not the full backup (.db) file, and that it was not unzipped along the way. Export a fresh one if in doubt - exports are instant.
I already started tracking in Ouro - will import overwrite it?
No. Imported habits are added alongside anything you have already created in Ouro.
My history is years long - is that a problem?
No. Ouro was built and tested against multi-year Loop exports with thousands of check-ins. Long histories are exactly what the import is for.
After the move
That is it - your habits live on your iPhone now, history intact. If you are curious what else Ouro does differently, see the full feature tour, or read your options as a Loop user on iPhone.
